A healthy home is one that has happy occupants. To strengthen your bond and spend an enjoyable time with your family members, why not engage in a simple, inexpensive, yet entertaining activity in the comfort of your own house? All you need is a complete deck of cards and a cooperative disposition.

For games that you can play and have a round of laughs with, check out the list below:

    Pig

This can accommodate up to 13 contenders. The aim here is to be the first to have four of the same kind. In the beginning, each participant is dealt the same number of cards and will pass one of these to the person on the left while getting another one from the individual on the right. Whoever forms the required combination first should lay the set down on the table and put one finger on his or her nose. Everyone must follow this action. If you happen to be the last one to do this, you’ll be considered the “pig”.

    Card Tower

This challenge requires team effort and the use of various skills. The deck is divided into two groups and given to two sets of competitors. Each must aim to build a structure taller than that of the rival faction. The critical points in this activity is on what sort of shape the paper citadel should take in order to lessen the risk of falling and the techniques involved in positioning the components without destabilising the whole thing.

    Spoons

This is essentially similar to “Pig” but with a certain variation. You will be using utensils, which should be less than the total number of participants by one. The first player to have four cards of the same variety will grab one of the cutlery quickly or covertly take it from the pile and continue with the game until someone observes this turn of events and triggers others to make a mad rush for the spoons. The person without one loses.

Try doing one of these games with the family and spend a wonderful hour enjoying their company.
